Pilot programme for RWAs and colonies

Know when your cart is around the corner.

Passhai sends you a WhatsApp alert when your neighbourhood vegetable, fruit or essentials cart is a few minutes away. There's no app to install, no middleman and no markup.

The problem

The cart comes every day. Timing it is still guesswork.

For households

By the time you hear the call, the cart has moved on.

From a fourth-floor flat or behind a closed door, you often miss the vendor's call. The alternative is ordering the same vegetables through an app at a markup.

For vendors

Every missed customer is a lost sale.

Vendors walk the same lanes every day, but they can't tell who's waiting. Delivery platforms take a cut they can't afford.

How it works

WhatsApp for households. One tap for vendors.

For households

Set up once in WhatsApp

  1. Scan the QR in your society, or message Passhai on WhatsApp.
  2. Share your location and pick the carts you care about.
  3. Get an alert when one is a few minutes away, then step out and buy.
For vendors

Start the day, reach the lane

  1. Install the Passhai Vendor app and log in with your phone number.
  2. Tap Start Day when you head out with your cart.
  3. Households nearby get alerted as you approach. They buy and pay you directly.
Choose your carts

Alerts for the carts you actually buy from.

Vegetables

Your daily sabziwala: fresh greens and staples at your gate.

Fruits

Seasonal fruit carts, so you catch the mangoes before they're gone.

Household essentials

Carts carrying everyday items for the home.

Why Passhai

Simple for households. Fair to vendors.

No app for households

Everything happens inside WhatsApp. There's no download and no sign-up form.

One tap for vendors

A lightweight Android app with one big button: Start Day.

Zero commission

You buy from and pay the vendor directly. Passhai takes no cut.

Settings live in the chat

Change your carts or location, pause or stop alerts by messaging Passhai on WhatsApp.

Hindi and English

Alerts in the language you're comfortable with.

Light on battery

Vendor location updates are small and infrequent, and they only run during the working day.

Privacy by design

Location data, handled carefully.

Passhai only works because people trust it with where they are. We collect only what alerts need, and we never sell it.

Households share a pin, not a trail

We only know the location you choose to send in the chat. We never track your live GPS.

Vendors are visible only on duty

Location is shared only while the day is on, with a visible notification, and never in the background.

No selling, no ads

Phone numbers and locations are used only to deliver alerts and are never sold to advertisers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to download an app?
No. Households use Passhai entirely inside WhatsApp. Only vendors use the Passhai Vendor app.
Does Passhai charge vendors or add a markup?
No. You buy from the vendor and pay them directly, in person, however you normally do. Passhai takes no commission.
Can I stop the alerts?
Yes. Message Passhai on WhatsApp any time to pause, mute or stop alerts, or to change the carts and location you get alerts for.
Is Passhai available in my area?
Passhai is running as a pilot with selected neighbourhoods. If you're part of an RWA or colony committee, get in touch and we'll look at bringing it to you.
How do vendors join?
Vendors are verified and onboarded by our team, usually through the neighbourhoods they already serve. Contact us to get your cart onboarded.
Pilot programme

Bring Passhai to your colony.

We're working with RWAs, colonies and gated societies to onboard their regular vendors. Tell us about your neighbourhood and we'll take it from there.
